How to stay on THM through the busy holidays.
With Christmas and New Year’s quickly approaching us, we need to come up with ways to survive December on plan. All your hard work this year does not need to be thrown away!! If you plan ahead you will survive. Many of us on Trim Healthy Mama make choices when to eat off plan. This time of year there will be many days we make that choice. If you decide when you will eat off plan then it can’t jump up and surprise you. If we plan ahead then the scale should smile at us and not frown.
The tip I have for you is basic, it really is. You may already be implementing it into your Holiday plans. Here it is…PLAN AHEAD. One thing, that’s it. PLAN AHEAD. How to survive December on plan…Plan Ahead!!
Look at your calendar of events for the months and figure out when to eat off plan and when to eat on plan for those events. You could make ahead a THM sweet treat or drink so that you are not tempted to cheat. You may have an Aunt that makes a special food for the Christmas season and you save your cheat for that. Perhaps there is a Christmas party at a restaurant that is one of your favorites and you choose then to eat off plan. Enjoy it!! Do not think yourself a failure. Instead revel in the victory of the choice you made. You control your eating.
