This week I have just 2 recipes from the Trim Healthy Mama cookbook on the menu plan. For pizza night I have been making a recipe from Wonderfully Made & Dearly Loved that you must go try. It is one of my favorite pizza recipes? What is yours? I’d love for you to share it below in the comments.
I did not do my regular meal planning before I went to the store this week.
I tried something different to save $ and let me tell you…IT WORKED!!!
Instead of making a list and filling the cart I just filled my cart with sale items and foods we normally eat. I was amazed how much I was under budget. Wanna know how much under I was? About $100!! Oh, you read that right. $100!!!!!! To be honest I still need to pick up peanut butter & sour cream & a cabbage, but that will not be much more. I was praising God when I walked out of Grocery Outlet!!!
Now, let me share the menu plan with you. Nothing fancy, just simple meals to help keep the cost down.
So, here ya go…
Thursday June 8th- Cereal, yes that is right, but for my children. See this post that explains why. A wrap for the husband & myself.
Friday- Pizza night
Saturday- Kai Sai Ming page of the THM cookbook
Sunday- Pot luck at church/leftovers at home
Monday-Bing On the Buttah Pancakes & Bacon, THM S, THM cookbook page
Tuesday- Chicken Tacos (shredded chicken in freezer from week before) YUM!
Wednesday- Birthday Boy’s Choice. My 2nd oldest get to pick what he would like for his birthday dinner.
